We brought forward this meeting by a week to the 1st Monday of December as we hosted a visit to the Club by the District Governor, Lesley Shedden.
President Peter Taylor opened the meeting and welcomed our Club members, guests, members of the Rotary Club of Portland Bay, District Governor Lesley Shedden and our guest speaker, Pam McClair, to the meeting.
CLUB ANNOUNCEMENTS
Peter Taylor acknowledged and thanked Frank Farnsworth, Erin Barker and Richard de Koenig for stepping up and taking on the executive roles in the Club for 2025-26.
Mental Health and Suicide Prevention Committee - any members interested in being on the committee please contact Peter Taylor. Subsequently, expressions of interest to be on the committee will go out to members of the public.

Emergency Services Expo BBQ on Saturday, 7 Dec from 9am to 1pm (2 shifts 9am-11am and 11am to 1pm) at the Portland foreshore.

District Governor Lesley Shedden's address to the Club
Lesley is a country kid from who grew up on a farm at Cope Cope which is on the Sunrasia Highway between Donald and St. Arnaud. She is married to Rob (second marriage) and between them they have 4 children and 5 grandchildren. Lesley has been in Rotary for 10 years. She has had a varied career starting as a secondary school teacher and ending with Bendigo Bank managing the website and social media.
